Leeftijd Catering is the soul calling of Belia King, a passionate caterer who named her company to celebrate the lifetime of memories she’d made around the table with her family and friends. Previously called Belia King Catering, her sought-after team has been creating gorgeous culinary backdrops for countless weddings, parties, corporate functions, and private events in and around the Western Cape since 2018.
Belia has always been an enthusiastic foodie with a sincere love and appreciation of fresh, seasonal produce, and the joy of bringing people together over a beautifully prepared meal. Forever smelling of lemon, garlic, and fresh herbs harvested from her tiny garden, she taught herself the intricacies of making magic in the kitchen, until she had the wonderful opportunity to follow her dreams and study at Silwood School of Cookery.
As South Africa’s oldest and most acclaimed cookery school, Silwood offers the Silwood Cordons Bleus Certificate – an innovative chef’s training course that has been developed to the highest level for almost 60 years. Learning these new skills and techniques provided Belia with invaluable experience and inspired her to open the doors to her catering company.
Today Belia is renowned as a confident, creative caterer that handles large and small events with the same effortless ease, and never loses sight of the fact that each ingredient should be allowed to speak for itself. She finds great satisfaction in bringing her client’s vision for their events to life and tailoring a menu that mirrors all their best-loved foods and flavours.
